Shipping was unbelievably expensive and hating paying so much for shipping. It works very well and is more convenient than paper filters.

i would say i saved by not having to buy approximately 12 boxes per year of the paper filters. They last a long time. Also, helps if you want to save a few pennies. I have always used the permanent coffee filters. Great product. the coffee grounds i just dump in the garbage bin and rinse the rest down the the sink (of course they are biodegradeable). it beats the paper ones getting stuck in between your fingers in the morning when you are half a sleep. I occassionally wash it in the dishwasher or with soap and water and if their is a buildup i soak it in vinegar.

Stores inside of coffee maker. Well made and easy to rinse. Works for me. Filters all but the finest grinds. Turkish let's a little thru.

So, it's functional and I'm not going to bother returning it.My issue is that I paid $6.68 to get this shipped to me. I was very dissatisfied with the shipper's packaging of this product. I might as well have gone to a Bricks and Mortar establishment to purchase this and gotten an undamaged one for the same price. So, my $12 coffee filter costs me ~$18.00. The retail packaging is simple cardboard box. The seller sent it to me in a PADDED ENVELOPE, which at some point got crushed by the USPS.The product's plastic framework withstood this treatment and popped back into shape, but the gold-plated metal filter has a dent.

Better water flow through the grinds. Like my dad used to make his coffee.grinds in the basket, then dump the grinds. I find it easier than dealing with the paper filters that never fit properly, that would occasionally clog and overflow.
